matthews recent  collection draws inspiration from the abandonment of nature, ‘Nature’s Regeneration’, looking at a wider scale of post-industrial sites as well as it happening in everyday places. This has been adapted through layering to serve as nature overgrowing, and colour and texture to embody destruction and regrowth. Printing, pleating and layering has been used to explore physical and visible texture inspired by abandoned sites and nature's growth.
